(Unity/Topic Sentence) Bonjour! Ashley Barbeau welcomes all rhetors of all levels who want to improve their knowledge and abilities in the art of argumentative writing. (Adequate Development/Body) Like the process of designing a building, there are many stages to becoming an adequate rhetor. It is a long process of drafting and revising that requires a lot of work to succeed. Much like an architect, Dr. Gill works with students until their writing reflects an adequate understanding of Aristotelian Classical Argumentative Rhetoric. (Coherence/ Conclusion) Once completing this course, students will have learned critical thinking skills and the value of hard work.

(Unity/Topic Sentence) Critical thinking skills are necessary to good writing. (Adequate Development/ Body) The writer must be able to think critically about topics to write about in order to decide which side they take. Dr Gill encourages students to get the facts first, then carefully analyze the research they've conducted before choose with side to stand with. (Coherence/ Conclusion) Critical thinking is a vital skill to writing that students learn in this course.

(Unity/ Topic Sentence) In this course, students will also learn the value of hard work. To pass with your grade goal you must be able to dedicate some time into this class. (Adequate Development/ Body) While it may not seem to be the most important part of your curriculum, English reading and writing skills are essential to almost any career path. Dr Gill pushes students to work hard to grow their writing skills so they can achieve their career goals. (Coherence/ Conclusion) Hard work is a quality that is valuable in most aspects in life.
